How will I know how if I look good? I don’t know how to make the expressions I see on your site.
Many of my clients are afraid they don’t know how to pose, or how to relax their expression or even how to not smile into the camera. I promise I will coach you every step of the way! I don’t tell you how to move your body: I walk you through every step and you just mirror me. I will never leave you hanging.
Who does the makeup application and hair styling?
I do*. I have had two obsessions in my life for careers: photography and esthetics. Lucky me, I have my skin care and makeup artistry license that I get to use every day on my photography clients–the best of both worlds! The training I have in skin care and makeup give me a huge advantage when you are in front of my lens. I notice everything about the application and can make changes immediately. Also, it gives us a chance to chat and get comfortable together before we get started on your portrait session.
*If you have scheduled a shoot with friends, I will bring in a fabulous hair/makeup artist to work with me.
Do you airbrush my photos?
YES. However, I do not change you into someone you’re not. Your skin will never come close to looking like a Barbie. You are already beautiful just as you are, no matter your age, shape or size. My goal is to capture the inner light that is YOU; the one your loved ones see. My hope and intention is that through this experience, you will see yourself as you truly are: absolutely beautiful!
What should I bring to wear?
Every woman is different. Some feel their most beautiful in jeans, others in lingerie or formal gowns. Bring whatever makes you feel GOOD. We’ll go through your selections together and decide what to use when you get here.
Remember to bring something to go out in after your session. You will look gorgeous and want to go out on the town!
Can I schedule with my friends?
Absolutely! I can accommodate up to six of you at any given time. You can schedule with friends, have appetizers and drinks, schedule a girls’ night after. If you prefer, you can book your day at a hotel and I will come to you. Please inquire for more details.
Can I bring a friend to observe?
I can totally understand why you feel you will be more comfortable, but in my experience, friends who are not having a session with yours end up distracting you and making you more self-conscious. Definitely not what you want during your session.
What happens after my Couture experience?
Well, I hope you tell oodles of friends about what a great time you had!
Your proofs will be ready approximately ten business days after your session. Before you leave, we will schedule your personal ordering appointment. If you are making this a gift, I’d love it if you bring your special someone in to select your images with you.
If you cannot schedule an in-person review, you may opt for a Skype session in which I can screen share with you to complete your order. No online galleries will be available for proofing due to previous copyright infringement situations. )Sorry, ladies, it only takes one rotten apple to ruin the whole bunch.)
Depending on what you order, or what is included in the package you have selected, it takes anywhere between one to four weeks to receive your selections. We will discuss timelines during your pre-portrait consultation.
How do I find out about pricing?
Collection details are listed on the Collections page. Pricing and product decisions are discussed and finalized during our pre-portrait consultation. The consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, establish what your desires are for your perfect session, and to ensure you have exactly what you want at the end of your experience.
What else do I need to know?
Don’t worry, we’ll go over every detail together during your pre-portrait consultation. Also I will email you a “checklist” before your session—what to wear to the studio, what else to bring (ex: music, foundation, etc., so you have everything you need when you walk in the door.
